Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s bodybuilding legacy inspired many young men to choose the sport as a career. Coming from a humble background, Schwarzenegger traveled to America to become the Mr. Olympia champion with just $20 in his pocket. But with his vision and efforts at the gym, he became a 7x Mr. Olympia champion.
The Austrian Oak compiled his winning principles in his latest motivational book, Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life. To promote the book, the 76-year-old sat down with The 92nd Street Y reporter and spilled beans on a rare sport that he is not good at.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is bad at golf

The Governator started lifting weights at 15 after coming across a bodybuilding magazine with Reg Park’s ripped physique on the cover. Schwarzenegger would visualize himself striking the bodybuilding poses on the Mr. Universe stage as the crowd cheered for him. At 20, his vision his became a reality when he was crowned with the Mr. Universe title. However, Schwarzenegger was rational in his visualization and never looked to dream about being a golfer.
While speaking about the power of his vision that paved his success path, Schwarzenegger confessed to the host, “I did have visions because I’m a very kind of visual person, and I see my goals and I see the things that I do all the time.” However, Arnie is specific about what he manifested in his vision.

“Not everything, just some things, obviously that is important to me. I’ve never seen myself, for instance, or visualized myself as a great golfer you know and I su*k in golf because of that,” he confessed. Despite mentioning the one sport he is not that great at, one cannot deny the fact that Schwarzenegger has ruled multiple arenas like a pro.
The Austrian Oak journey over seven decades
Schwarzenegger’s survival on minimal resources in childhood made him yearn for success. In his first quarter of life, the 76-year-old ruled the bodybuilding arena. He is a 4x Mr. Universe and 7x Mr. Olympia. After retiring from the competitive stage, Schwarzenegger started a new bodybuilding event, the Arnold Classic. In his second quarter, Arnie became the action superstar of Hollywood.

The Terminator icon defined the action genre and was one of the first actors to ace a ripped physique on screen. The third quarter of the FUBAR actor was dedicated to politics as he served as the governor of California for two terms. In his fourth quarter, Schwarzenegger is motivating people to be fit and healthy through his fitness newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club.
