Noah Glenn reveals how he became a Strongman

In the latest Guest Corner piece published in Arnie’s daily Newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club, Noah Glenn, one of Arnie’s team members was featured. He shared how he went from being a skinny guy to a Strongman. He began by saying how he has been on Schwarzenegger’s team for six years, and it was while working with him, that he realized that he had fallen in love with the sport.

So, he signed up for a contest and started training harder. He said, “I never thought weightlifting would be my thing. I honestly thought I was destined to be skinny forever. I still remember how embarrassed I felt when I couldn’t bench the bar in high school.”

He rigorously started picking up stones and logs and carrying heavy things. He went harder on his training and became a 205-pound Strongman, and was in his best shape. He added, “Something changed in my six months of picking up stones and logs and carrying heavy things — I changed. That old hard-gainer skinny kid was now a 205-pound strongman competitor. I was in better shape than I had ever been in my whole life.”  Glenn also went on to share how we learned from failure in his first competition.

Noah Glenn shares his ‘do not give up’ attitude 

As Noah Glenn entered his first-ever competition in the sport, he started getting nervous. He got so nervous that he scored a zero on his best event despite six months of training. However, this was not big enough to cripple his spirits and labor. For him, showing up and finishing the competition was in itself a victory.

He refocused himself, and despite failing on the first event, he was completely committed to his dream and changed himself.
