Predator is one of his major flicks that rained collections at the box office. However, the Governator refused to feature in its sequel. Now, the director of the seventh film in the Predator franchise is hopeful about a possible Arnold Schwarzenegger cameo in the future.

The Terminator icon’s Hollywood saga didn’t start on a good note. He was criticized for his thick Austrian accent and bodybuilding physique that wouldn’t fit for lead roles in Hollywood. However, Arnie knew how to turn obstacles into opportunities, and his personality earned him roles in Conan the Barbarian, the Terminator franchise, and Predator.
Despite featuring in the sequels of 1984’s The Terminator movie, Schwarzenegger didn’t appear in any of the Predator franchise sequels. However, the director of the recent installment “Prey” hopes for an Arnold Schwarzenegger’s cameo in future sequels. Dan Trachtenberg in a conversation with Variety, was asked if a thought was there to cast Arnie or Danny Glover for a cameo in his 2022 edition.
The 42-year-old confessed, “I did learn there was an attempt to have Arnold in ‘Predators’ (2010). All I’ll say is — there’s still time for those guys. They’re still around, and wouldn’t that be awesome?” The Stranger Things 5 director believes in Schwarzenegger’s cameo in the $741 Predator franchise despite the latter’s refusal to collaborate with the series after the first film in the past.
Why did the Governator quit the lucrative Predator franchise?
Arnold Schwarzenegger ruled Hollywood in the 1980s with action adventures on screen. After The Terminator, Predator solidified his place in Hollywood as an action superstar. The film grossed $98,268,458, becoming one of the highest-grossing films in Hollywood in that era. However, the 76-year-old chose not to reprise his role in future sequels.

Explaining his decision, Arnie once confessed, “The sad story is that sometimes studios do a great job with creating sequels, and sometimes they really screw it up bad, and it all has to do with greed.” So, he even chose not to play cameo parts as well in Predator movies, but Trachtenberg hopes The Governator soon would.

Schwarzenegger’s fourth phase of life revolves around his newsletters, making movies, and fighting for environmental causes.
