When Schwarzenegger started Arnold’s Pump Club, he resolved to protect the masses from fitness misinformation. So, he recently revealed a 10-year diet study. “Many diet books and experts will try to convince you that there’s one “best” diet,” Schwarzenegger complained. However, he has a suggestion for his tribe.

“If you want to leave the dieting hamster wheel, stop looking for a magic pill,” he pleads to his village. Putting forth a 10-year study involving more than 17,000 people, Schwarzenegger offered a few diet tricks to help weight loss. And this diet protocol works for everyone, irrespective of genetics. So, here are the valuable healthy habits that make the weight loss journey a cakewalk.
400 grams of vegetables and fruits daily. It equals two bowls of veggies and three pieces of fruit you like.
Maintaining a dietary fat of less than 30% of the total daily calorie intake. “If you’re following a 2,000-calorie diet, this means you could eat up to 65 grams of fat per day,” Arnie explained with an example.
The sugar has to be minimized to 10% of the total calorie intake.
Fibre is a crucial part of a healthy diet, which is often neglected. So, Arnie recommends having 25 grams of fiber daily. One could always take more.

Finally, 3500mg of potassium must be included in the daily diet. “Potassium is found in many foods including potatoes, avocado, bananas and oranges, green veggies, dairy, cashews, beans and lentils, and salmon,” Schwarzenegger includes in his newsletter.
While following all these steps can produce great results, Schwarzenegger asked his village not to stress strict adherence. Instead, he suggests following a few can help bring a great lifestyle change. “And that’s a great reminder that the best diet is the one that you can follow,” Schwarzenegger concludes.
