Earlier, the sudden passing of the massively popular fitness influencer Jo Lindner a.k.a Joesthetics rocked the bodybuilding world. The Men’s Physique athlete who recently competed and missed earning his pro card by one spot died due to an aneurysm, according to his partner. The entire fitness community is mourning the death of the German bodybuilder who inspired over 8 million people on social media. However, award-winning coach and former Olympian Maik Wiedenbach had a harsh reality check for the fitness community.

Earlier, the three-time best coach in New York award winner uploaded a video on the tragic incident. However, instead of mourning the late bodybuilder, Wiedenbach gave his take on why young athletes like Jo Lindner are meeting their demise.

“With the passing of Jo the fitness world goes into overdrive. Oh my goodness, what a tragedy! What a hero! What are you talking about?”?stated the former Olympian in the video. The renowned coach said he was 47, and yet young bodybuilders like the 30-year-old German bodybuilder are passing away. He said that a pattern has developed where young people only care about glory.

“Instagram superstars, doing crazy things, running drugs for way too long, staying super lean… there’s a price to pay” are all symptoms of a bigger problem, said the three-time Muscle Mania winner. Such behavior is not healthy in the long term. Hence, bodybuilders like 26-year-old Dallas McCarver, 30-year-old Joesthetics, and others are meeting their demise early. “Stop idolizing stupid behavior,” Wiedenbach subtitled his video.

He also didn’t have anything positive to say about his over 8 million followers. The 47-year-old said those who followed Joesthetics would start following someone else. However, the pattern of not caring about health for bodybuilding championships will continue. As an example, the coach said, right below the article about Lindner, he was one about Nick Walker planning to compete at 300 lbs. However, the German bodybuilder had realized the error of his ways years ago.

Joesthetics began using substances to boost his gains when he was even younger. While he gained muscle, it crippled his body’s natural testosterone-producing ability. Lindner would often post such stories on Instagram and even talk about substance abuse on his YouTube channel. The bodybuilder warned young lifters not to make his mistakes.

In fact, Lindner told people to stay away from PEDs unless they were competing professionally. For his own bodybuilding prep, the 30-year-old took a healthier approach. Last month while appearing on Bradley Martyn’s podcast, he revealed regularly getting bloodwork done.
