Impressive feats of strength have always captivated people. When someone does something that seems nearly impossible, even for a strong person, fitness and bodybuilding enthusiasts often find it fascinating. In fact, that fascination played a huge role in giving birth to a competitive strongman. However, sometimes even impressive feats of strength may invite the opposite reaction.
Such was the case when footage of Lucian Silviu Croitor displayed his incredible strength in a short clip. Croitor put his hand on the pavement and had a station wagon drive over it without a scratch. However, that wasn’t the only thing he did. Immediately after the car drove over his hand, he took a spanner and broke it in two. Yet, few in the fitness community applauded him.
Lucian Silviu Croitor is a strength athlete and strongman who regularly performs seemingly impossible feats of strength inside and outside the gym. The athlete does standard strongman lifts such as stone lifts, deadlifts, squats, and more. Yet he also proved his strength in rather bizarre yet incredible strength and fitness challenges like snapping heavy-duty tools.

While many strongmen in the past have bent tools like wrenches and spanners, Croitor took it a step further. The strongman stuck the spanner against a metal object to show viewers that it was a solid piece of metal. He then lay on the street and pulled the spanner from both ends with his knee in between. As the tool started to bend, he flipped it around and repeated the process. After a few tries, the strongman snapped the tool in half. Yet, despite his impressive strength, the fitness community responded with questions and even sarcasm.
The fitness community wasn’t impressed
Fitness enthusiasts questioned why doing what the man did would be helpful in any way. “This skill will never be useful in life,“ commented an Instagram user. Another user asked the same question. “The real question here is ‘why?’“ the follower commented. Others joked about the feat of strength. “Ste***d knees,“ wrote another man. Some even resorted to sarcasm.

“I now know who to call if I want to break the spanner,” joked a netizen. However, some were surprised that the fitness community didn’t find the clip impressive. “How in the actual living f*** are some of these people not impressed? This is F***ING IMPRESSIVE. We’re not entirely sure what he’s training for but I would not want to mess with a guy like him in a fight,“ wrote one follower.
Although most people in the online fitness community questioned the point of Croitor’s display, they were undeniably incredible feats of strength. What did you feel about the clip? Let us know in the comments.
