The three-time world champion powerlifter, Matt Wenning has directed over 6000 troops in strength, conditioning, and wellness for the U.S. Army including Infantry and Ranger Divisions. He had a condition of undeveloped legs at the age of 6 because of a fatal accident that he had met. However, 4 years later, he discovered the world of bodybuilding and powerlifting and that was when he got stern about what to do with his life. Powerlifting made him raise that he was capable of doing anything he wished to despite his physical condition.

The advisor for the NFL then got passionate and delved into the world of lifting so hard, that he etched his name eternally and soon became a legend. He started competing in competitions at the age of 13, after the demise of his father and there is no doubt that he is one of the most heavy-duty lifters in the realm. Times come when even the strongest men tend to freak out at their forte. Wenning has been through such situations even in the sacred field.

Matt recalls the craziest squat that he had ever done in his life which was at a competition while lifting 1000 lbs in 2006. It was in Vegas and he was in the 308 W class. He says, “My last name started with W and somebody else quatted 1003 before me. But he dumps it over his head. Spotters lose 2 fingers between the monolift and the plates. And the guy pretty much scalps his head ’cause those bars are brand new squat bars.”

He then goes on to recall that there was a blood stain on the previous participant on the squat bar. They cleaned it in front of him and asked him to go up for his turn. Matt says, “Louie said to me, If you can squat this, you’re a f****** maniac.”
