Bodybuilders lift weights in the gym to tone their muscles. Ronnie Coleman’s heavyweight duties include an 1100 lbs leg press, 725 lbs deadlift, and 800 lbs squat. His intense training has helped him build a physique that fetched eight Mr. Olympia titles.
During one of his heavyweight squatting sessions, he herniated his disc, which would eventually make him lose his mobility. Recalling the incident in an interview with the Iced Coffee Hour YouTube channel, the legend confessed that he was squatting 600 lbs when the incident happened.
“This day I was coming from rep number eight, and I heard a loud bang, ” The King said. “It was so loud it kind of hurt my ear,” he further added. However, the King didn’t realize it was his herniated disc and pushed his remaining workout regime.
