No one can beat Arnold Schwarzenegger’s skills, be it the Terminator creating havoc on the film sets or giving the best haircut. Yes! The Austrian Oak is famous for his haircut sessions with eldest son Patrick Schwarzenegger with Governator turning into a personal barber for his son many a time.

The Midnight Sun actor once shared a glimpse of their special dad-son trimming session on his Instagram in 2022. And while many a man would make a deal with the devil to get a haircut by Arnie, Patrick prefers the work of a professional barber, and the 30-year-old spilled beans on the reasons.

Patrick has reservations about Arnie with clippers around his hair

The eldest son of Schwarzenegger is known for his experiments with brunette locks. In 2021, Patrick switched them for platinum blond just before Christmas. But his new hairstyle is not forever, as his Terminator dad would use a big pair of scissors to chop off his blonde highlights in February 2022. But as Christmas and New Year’s Eve are nearing, Patrick wants a fresh look.

The MOSH founder shared his recent salon session on X, calling it a “fresh cut.” But an intrigued fan queried why his 76-year-old father was not doing his routine daddy duties. He wrote, “Not dad this time?” and Patrick replied, “Next time. He gets once a year.” So, Arnie has to keep his big pair of scissors ready to trim his son’s hair soon. But when he does, the Governator is only confined to using those clippers. For everything else, the Gen V actor prefers someone else.

Patrick’s girlfriend gets the duty of blowing the hair off from his actor boyfriend, and the couple prefers a leaf blower to get the job done. While Schwarzenegger is super proud of his son and volunteers to give him a haircut, there was a time when Arnie terrified Patrick with strict parenting measures.

Arnie’s childhood was tormented by his father’s Gustav Schwarzenegger parenting efforts. But the 76-year-old ensured to build a holistic bond with his girls and boys. That said, Arnie often proudly claims to have taught his kids discipline. On an episode of the Graham Norton Show, the former California governor told fans that he would make them switch off the lights when they left the room, have them make their beds, and clean their clothes. And when they went skiing in the winter, they would famously tell them, “There will be no hot chocolate“, till they did 4 rounds at least. Of course, kids being kids would mess up a bit and Arnie would find ways to set the record straight.

He would first warn them to be aware of saving electricity, but when Patrick had erred more than enough, Schwarzenegger unscrewed bulbs in his room, leaving the young boy terrified to enter his dark room. But now Arnie is proud of his son for building a business empire.
