The essence of bodybuilding lies in diet and training regimens. It is not unknown that the component of the diet, which is essential for muscle building, is protein. However, fitness enthusiasts often debate the quality of protein. So, Arnie who used to mix some tequila or Austrian spirit schnapps with his protein shake, now discussed the quality of protein in his latest newsletter in detail by providing scientific evidence.

The new study — which reviewed existing protein research — found that the quantity of protein you consume determines the need for quality,” the latest newsletter edition, Quality Control, states. So, it suggested, those who eat less protein have to consume high-quality protein, while people who have a high protein intake can go light on protein quality.

Stating the fact that low-quality proteins have fewer essential amino acids, Arnie writes, “That’s why some proteins really are “better” than others.” The newsletter also suggests 1.6g/kg protein per day is required, as per research. Arnold Pump Club is not just about fitness tips and tricks, but also shares inspiring stories of the village members.

The Editor-in-chief Father’s inspiring story

Arnold Pump Club, editor-in-chief Adam Bornstein, lost his father a few days back to cancer. But the life the old man left behind is inspiring. So Schwarzenegger let his village member take the stage to narrate his father’s courage-filled story. Adam’s father was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2020, but he resolved to live with positivity despite the odds.
