Justin Vicky collapsed after breaking his neck while squatting a massive weight. Looking into the clips that surfaced online of the accident, Dave Palumbo, bodybuilding coach, terms it easily avoidable in his latest video on his YouTube channel RxMuscle-The Truth in Bodybuilding.
Palumbo complains that it would not be advisable to lift such heavy weights if one is not prepared for it. Complaining about the spotter in the horrible incident who is not following proper technique to offer support, the ex-editor-in-chief said, “the guy obviously had no idea what he was doing in the spotter.” He also predicts that the bodybuilder is “not even capable of doing the 450 lbs.” “He probably was like a 300 lbs squatter who put 450 on the bar,” Palumbo added.
Giving insights into the unfortunate incident, Palumbo narrated, “When 450 pounds comes down on the back of your head and your neck snaps forward, you basically snap your spine, and you’re done, that’s it! over!” The incident left the fitness world horrified as they blamed the spotter for the incident.

The gym is a place to improve both physical and mental health. But lifting heavy weights can turn into a disaster in no time if gym-goers show an ounce of negligence. The 33-year-old Indonesian bodybuilder was attempting a 467.97 lbs weighted squat in the presence of his spotter.
