The video started with him saying that he was going to share two news stories with the viewers. Both news were related to his competition arena. The fans were enthusiastic about him competing, but the 6 feet 9 inches strongman has a different plan from now on.

He confessed that he was not going to participate in the upcoming event. His fans have to wait a little longer for him to see an all-time poly world record with wraps in powerlifting. He said, “I decided to put that on hold.” He further added, “Because of the injury, I feel like it’s the smart decision for me to step away for a little bit.” Bjornsson described that, because of his pec injury, he is going to leave his ambition of powerlifting for a bit longer. He is insecure about lifting heavy weights currently. He will train and keep building his strength back, and when he feels ready, he will attempt again. Moreover, Hafthor mentioned that he will participate in the Strongman competition.

Bjornsson will compete in the Strongman

Furthermore, Bjornsson said, “But I’ve decided to come back to strongman, and the main reason is just because I have so much love for the sport um I just love to be strong obvious and compete in strongman, and I believe that I’m able to do that”. He illustrated in the video that he might not be performing heavy lifting, but he will resume his Strongman journey. However, he intends to compete at his own pace. His love for this sport is evident.
