Age is just a number when you are truly passionate about something and well, the 65-year-old Grandma, who has been reigning in the realms of bodybuilding is a standing testament to it. When she was in her thirties, she cut off her ties from an unhappy marriage she was stuck. In her late forties, she took to fitness to help get rid of her crippling anxiety. She has now left an indelible mark in the fitness community.

Recently, Lesley Maxwell suffered from an accident while cycling by the beach. Despite nothing serious happening, she was still in recovery and had suffered severe fatigue. However, notwithstanding that, she is back in her happy place and has shared her secret to building muscles.

Lesley Maxwell shares her tip for good muscles

Lesley Maxwell took to her official Instagram account @lesleymaxwell.fitness and shared a video that had snippets from her chest workout routine. In the video, she was seen performing a set of dumbbell presses with 44 lbs dumbbells and in the caption, she revealed how she is rebuilding her muscles. She wrote, I’ve been increasing the weights with my training recently. Here I’m lifting 20k DB’s and only five reps as I was becoming fatigued.” 

Stating the reason why she has been going heavier on weights and lighter on the number of repetitions in a set, she added, “Basically I just wanted to see if I could increase muscle mass…and it’s working! Earlier this year I wasn’t well and became a little weaker plus lost weight. And I didn’t like that so I made some changes.”

She said that her body has been responding pretty well to the technique. In amazement, she wrote. “Its amazing how our bodies respond to training plus clean eating of course. 💗xoxo.” Lesley Maxwell’s tips have in most of the cases been very effective. Earlier she had revealed the right way to nail an intense upper-body workout.

She once shared a video on Instagram where she was seen performing a ridiculously grueling upper-body workout regime. She initiated it with chest dips, which are very effective for the perfect triceps and also build exceptional strength in the upper body.

She went about adding that no matter what the regime is, it is absolutely important to incorporate the challenging exercise in the upper body routine if you are working on strength training and wish to have an aesthetically pleasing physique.
