While most of the time, Granny can be seen engaged in training and working out, sometimes, she just posts pictures of herself on Instagram to recall the battles she fought and won. Recently, she posted photos detailing her struggles in life. Not only did Flowers count her struggles, but also shared an encouraging lesson with her followers.

In a recent Instagram post, Marlene Flowers posted a carousel of her photographs with a long heartfelt note. She wrote, “I haven’t always been an athlete. I didn’t start until I was 58.” She revealed that there was a time in her life when she didn’t realize her actual worth and had a lack of confidence. Before getting into bodybuilding, “I struggled physically and mentally.” Leaving that painful time behind, she came to realize her inner strength and made her name in bodybuilding at the age of 58.

“We all have times when we’re just not okay It’s okay to not be okay It’s okay to struggle It’s NOT OKAY to stay there You have to LEARN from your MISTAKES Let them make you stronger Let them shape you into the person you want to be,” Granny Guns wrote in the caption giving the valuable lessons to the younger generation. She suggested learning from past mistakes and getting stronger no matter how hard life might be.

Flowers also once posted a video on her Instagram and left the world speechless with precious advice to help people stick to their New Year’s resolutions.

Marlene Flowers took to her Instagram and shared a motivating message while talking about her New Year’s resolutions. She also talked about the common difficulties people face in sticking to their plans.

“I already messed up my resolution!” she said recalling her mistake. Now, she encourages people to stay consistent and says, “It may take 6 months, It may take years, It may take you a decade, but remember this you’re gonna get it done.”  She kept on reiterating, “You’re going to get where you want to be but you have to keep going.”
