Phil Heath, the 7-time Mr. Olympia title champion, is no stranger to the hardships and harrowing training of the bodybuilding world. He pursued his dream of bodybuilding while also juggling his role as a basketball academy trainer, web developer, and bouncer. Phil started his journey in 2003 and by 2005, he was ready to earn his IFBB pro card. Earning the nickname ‘The Gift’, he proceeded to work harder on his physique and became the runner-up in Arnold Classic in 2008.
He felt he was ready for Olympia, but did not win in one go. However, he did not stop and kept on training and finally, in 2011, he got his first Sandow trophy. Now, after almost a decade in the industry, Phil Heath has redefined what it is to be a bodybuilder. Finally, Heath has achieved one of the biggest crowning awards that any sportsman can get: ‘The International Sports Hall of Fame’.
