IFBB Pro Marc Lobliner competed for the last time at the 2023 New York Pro. Now, after a long break from competition, the bodybuilding veteran is looking to make a triumphant return. The 43-year-old pro bodybuilder announced that he plans to return to competitive bodybuilding at the 2024 Body BE 1 Classic. So, Lobliner is going all out with less than two months remaining.

While the bodybuilder usually competes at 212, he’ll make his Classic Physique debut at the IFBB Pro show on 22nd June 2024. Marc Lobliner documented just how intense his current leg day routine looks in his latest YouTube video. The Tiger Fitness founder also showed a unique leg day routine and focused on his quads and hamstrings, maintaining maximum intensity.

The 43-year-old veteran bodybuilder channeled his inner Dorian Yates with every movement, pushing his muscles to absolute failure. “The goal with this is to go as heavy as possible,” said the bodybuilder before doing the hack squats. Lobliner’s determination to come back in the shape of his life was palpable as he did heavy hack squats utilizing his full range of motion.

After the seated leg curls and hack squat, the bodybuilder did another hamstring-focused exercise. However, he chose an uncommon variation of the Romanian deadlift, the single-leg RDL. While the standard variation may be, the single-leg variation targets stabilizer muscles that the standard variation doesn’t. Lobliner followed it up with another set of hack squats.

Finally, he finished his brutal leg workout with leg presses. The bodybuilder ensured he reached absolute failure before stopping each set. “That was harder than I thought it would be,” said Marc Lobliner. However, the 2021 NPC Masters USA Championships winner will continue to train harder. He also announced another goal in a different sport that he is already working on.

The bodybuilder has started boxing again

The veteran bodybuilder has some experience in boxing. However, the Tiger Fitness founder explained that he boxed recently boxed for the first time since 2022. While Lobliner hasn’t boxed professionally, he has trained extensively in the past and even sparred with others. Boxing is an excellent form of cardio, so mixing bodybuilding prep and boxing may not be a coincidence.

The bodybuilder admitted that he had difficulty getting into the groove but eventually found it after practicing combos. Now, he plans to familiarize himself with basic and advanced striking and footwork drills. “I’d like to do a boxing tournament in September,” said Lobliner in the video. Lobliner recently even challenged fitness influencer Kali Muscle to a boxing match.

However, for now, the 43-year-old bodybuilding veteran is focusing on making his Classic Physique debut. He also plans to compete in other shows around June and July but is yet to find another suitable contest besides the Body BE 1 Classic.
