When a fan recently asked the former Mr. Olympia for advice on how to make his wife heavy lift,  Schwarzenegger had some suggestions on how the fan could go about it. At first, Arnie put forward the most important information that every woman must know if they were backing out from heavy lifting thinking about the changes their body might go through. Schwarzenegger stated, “They won’t get big overnight.” He had another suggestion in mind as well. “Show them actresses who lift really heavy (there are a lot now!) so they see they aren’t bodybuilders!” Schwarzenegger added, hinting at the fact that heavy lifting does not turn one into a bodybuilder in the blink of an eye.

Furthermore, Schwarzenegger also focused on how resistance training would help increase bone density. Apparently, during his heart surgery, the doctor couldn’t stop complaining about this. The Terminator therefore stressed how these health benefits can be a way to motivate women to lift heavy without worrying them too much.

Although Schwarzenegger wishes to train with more weight, these days, he is unable to. Despite not being able to lift as much as he did in his prime, the 76-year-old bodybuilder isn’t too sad about it.

However, this was soon followed by an upsetting revelation about how his heart surgeries have now forced him to limit his heavy training. He stated, “Now I don’t bench that heavy anymore, you know, after all my heart surgeries and all that stuff, I train lighter but do more reps. But I still work out pretty intense.”

Then the bodybuilder also added, “I left the heavy lifting for the young guys and women.”
