Former IFBB pro Lee Priest who competed with the best of the best in the 90s was not only known for his amazing physique but also for his controversial opinions about the bodybuilding world. Priest even beat the 8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. So despite retiring from the competitive bodybuilding stage, the Aussie bodybuilder remains a significant voice in the industry. His advice on PEDs and steroids is also taken seriously by a lot of modern bodybuilders.

He recently uploaded a YouTube video where the bodybuilding champion is talking about why some novice bodybuilders are not making any progress in muscle building.

Leap Priest advises on reaching peak physical condition

The video was uploaded by IFBB AMA, and in this video Priest discusses the greatest weakness that holds bodybuilders back from reaching their perfect physical condition. And guess what it is?

Priest explained how people start taking steroids too soon. The NABBA Mr. Universe winner continued, “You shouldn’t be doing them unless you have at least 5 years minimum of foundation work to take your body naturally as far as you can go before you add that stuff in.” He also talked about not skipping meals and workouts and enjoying the process of working out and going to the gym.

He explained, “Muscle takes a long time then you got the eating. You can’t skip meals you can’t skip workouts. Enjoy going to the gym, enjoy training stay focused, and stop looking at your phone.” He also assured his fans that looking at the Internet would not make them feel good about themselves because anyway, everyone shows the perfect side of their life on the Internet, which is a complete lie. Lee Priest does not hold anything back when he is talking about a topic and he is not scared of giving his brazen opinions.

The bodybuilding veteran had confessed that PEDs are common in every athletic industry. However, the winner of Iron Man Pro also pointed out that other sports do not mention the frequency of steroid use. “You won’t go on an NFL page where they’re discussing steroids… This linebacker is so big because he’s eating 10,000 calories doing a bit of deca,” Priest said.

He pointed out that in other sports industries athletes from different sports have their gold medals taken away if they are found guilty of taking steroids after investigation. However, the priest also said that bodybuilding is the only industry where the use of steroids is freely discussed. However, he also revealed the fact that educating bodybuilders on bulking up is extremely important. So, he said, “It’s like these people think the only thing missing, that’s stopping them from being great are drugs.”
