Dorian Yates, the iconic bodybuilder from and before the 90s, is an inspiration not only for the community but also for some of the Golden Era legends of the sport.?
Former bodybuilder turned academic, Paul Baxendale recently took to his Instagram to share an elaborate note of appreciation for the IFBB legend, who inspired him and many others. Furthermore, he even added IFBB half of Famer, Kevin Levrone?s admiration for the legend in the post?s caption.

As per the source, the 57-year-old pro posted a picture of Yates? shredded back and calves in 1993. Appearing as an absolute icon, the note in the post?s caption illustrated how the English athlete influenced the entire era of bodybuilding around that time. ?Sharing that golden period of time with @thedorianyates and Kenny Brown will always remain one of the most special times of my life for many reasons,? it read.?

Moreover, Baxendale asserted that bodybuilders from the 90s were particularly ?blessed? with all the aspects of the sport such as training, competing and simply being a part of those years. Although, he acknowledged that he might be ?biased? but there was more to it than just the six-time Mr. Olympia making the era “exceptional.”?
Almost every batch of bodybuilders in the pro or amateur stage, matched the standards of going pro. ?If you ever witnessed any of the British or American Nationals during that time you’d know it was like watching another Pro show!? the former athlete noted. Besides, he added context to his insinuation with a quote by IFBB Hall of Famer, Kevin Levrone.?

His quotation iterated that all the athletes of that time were so skilled because of the competition level the 61-year-old pro brought in. It compelled the others to be their best. Moreover, his lowkey and humble attitude taught them moral lessons of true sportsmanship and humanity.?
