Mankind is plagued by certain medical conditions that can be quite challenging, like dementia and Alzheimer’s. Overcoming these is quite difficult because there are no significant cures. However, Arnold Schwarzenegger has a different perspective on handling one of these diseases. Recently, he shared an insight into preventing dementia in his newsletter.
Arnold’s Pump Club mentions that taking small steps can be beneficial for these challenging conditions. He emphasized the importance of Vitamin D in improving brain health and preventing dementia. Not to worry because this method is supported by research, as the seven-time Mr. Olympia endorsed it enthusiastically to followers.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s revelation on dementia and its cure
The bodybuilding icon has been sharing his wisdom backing up with scientific research. In his latest newsletter update, Arnie openly talked about “the Dementia Defender”. He shed light on a study where researchers analyzed over twelve thousand people’s health over a decade. Surprisingly, “those with higher levels of Vitamin D were found to be forty percent less likely to develop dementia”.

According to his newsletter, new research has found that Vitamin D supplementation is good for improving brain health. The study suggests that it’s more beneficial for women than men. Women who get 49 percent lower risk compared to 26 percent for men. People carrying the APOE4 gene, linked to dementia, were at higher risk. However, taking Vitamin D supplements cuts the risk by 33 percent.
Simply, he recommends that being active is essential because people who do not take Vitamin D supplements are likely to get dementia over the years, per some studies. This is not the first time Schwarzenegger talked about brain health. He has also recommended that working out in the gym helps the part of the brain called the hippocampus. The hippocampus is the common place where the disease attacks. Schwarzenegger wrote in his newsletter that exercising for 90 minutes daily would prevent its risks. Even his family has previously discussed issues related to brain conditions on more than one occasion.

Schwarzenegger’s family bagged funds for their initiative to provide fundamental support to those individuals who have Alzheimer’s. Shriver and Patrick established a brand called Mosh to spread awareness on this issue. Recently, they have launched three flavors of plant-based protein bars on the occasion of their brand Mosh’s anniversary.
