After Phil Heath released his documentary Breaking Olympia: The Phil Heath Story which has Dwayne Johnson as an executive producer, the bodybuilder revealed moments when he was testing his strength with the Rock. As athletes both of them have shown extreme competitiveness even when they are not from the same profession. Heath brings up one such instance.

When asked about Heath’s relationship with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the bodybuilder started comparing how both fitness enthusiasts are equally competitive at the gym. As Heath recalled their competitiveness leading to their subsequent gain in weight, he also shared another interesting story.

The Rock vs The Gift: why did these athletes had to stop their strength test?

In one of his latest Interviews with Piers Morgan, Phil Heath started talking about how Arnie would be at the gym earlier than Heath because of their competitive nature. Heath revealed a similar story in regards to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. He stated, “I noticed when I went up in weight he went up in weight.”

Furthermre, the bodybuilder started talking about how there was a moment when both the athletes would stare at each other so as to test their capabilities. However, none of them would proceed because they would be concerned for the opponent getting hurt. Heath recalled, “We kind of both looked at each other and kind of gave each other the nod like really okay we’re going to stop right here before someone maybe get hurt.”

Despite having good relations with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Heath once started a banter with him.

Heath called out Schwarzenegger for not having great Calves

Phil Heath was asked about the incident when The Austrian Oak had commented about bodybuilders having big bellies. Back then Heath had also said that Schwarzenegger does not have great legs either. Recalling that incident, the bodybuilder now stated, “So back then, in his day you didn’t have to have the biggest ginormous quads to win a competition you had to have the biggest chest you know.” Additionally, Heath also observed how in the contemporary bodybuilding arena, one needs to have the best of everything to win.
