Many sporting legends have, in recent times, taken to incorporating bodybuilding training into their regimes. Among them is former NFL star Shannon Sharpe, the three-time Super Bowl champion. Sharpe took a liking to bodybuilding training last year and has since trained with the likes of the Serbian bodybuilding coach, Milos Sarcev.

The duo seems to share an exceptional bond and are often seen training together. On June 26th, Sharpe’s birthday, the Olympia coach posted a video wishing him. However, it wasn’t just a birthday video.

In the video, one could see the bodybuilding coach saying they would be hitting the chest, back, and shoulders. The duo did a series of exercises, hitting all the desired muscles. First, Sharpe did a flat bench press, and the coach spotted him and stressed on the slow reps to derive the complete benefit of the exercise.

Sarcev captioned the video, “Happy 56th birthday @shannonsharpe84.” The coach also shared his love for the NFL legend in the video as they spent quality time together in the gym while training. “Enjoy your day/week…as JULY 1st GRIND begins,” Sarcev added, hinting at the fact that Sharpe was expected to return to training after the celebrations.

As the three-time Super Bowl champion reaches the age of 56, Sarcev believes he needs to train to stay fit. However, this is not the only reason the NFL legend started training like a bodybuilder earlier. Earlier, Sharpe had challenged a WWE icon as well.

The three-time Super Bowl champion challenges The Rock

Last year, around October, there started a battle no one was expecting. The football icon who benched 500 pounds in his prime challenged the Black Adam star and wrote, “Give me a month, I’ll get him.” After this, he teamed up with the Serbian coach and shared a post on X, giving a sneak peek at his training.

In the post, the three-time Super Bowl champion wrote, “This season is about ‘changing my training’. I’m changing my Mental, Physical, Emotional & Financial training.” Along with the caption in the video, the NFL legend did rowing variations and chest presses. Sharpe was looking jacked even before he started his workout and gave some serious competition to The Rock.

The Siberian coach is known for not missing a single chance to wish the bodybuilding community on their achievements, and this time it is no different. What do you think about the bond shared between Sharpe and Sarcev? Will Sharpe venture into some sort of competitive bodybuilding? Let us know in the comments.
