Some legends are never forgotten and Rich Piana was one such athlete in the realms of the bodybuilding world, who is gone but has left behind an indelible mark in the community. He passed away back in 2017 at the age of 46, two weeks after being in an induced coma for two weeks.
Even after six years of his untimely demise, bodybuilding athletes continue to follow his advice and methods and seek motivation from his journey. One of his most famous and widely acclaimed workouts still remains his intense 8-hour arm workout, which was known to be his favorite, but several others who tried failed at it. This time, Jesse James West, Ronnie Coleman‘s acclaimed son, gave a shot at it.

Jesse James West recently took up the challenge of pulling out the toughest arm workout with his girlfriend’s brother Brandon Walsh and shared the video on his official YouTube channel. Before delving deep into the workout, they go on to measure their arms, as it has been stated that whoever is able to complete the workout has an inch bigger biceps after just one session. However, the workout is equally difficult.
Jesse James West says, “Today we’re gonna see if I can survive his workout and if it really works.” The workout begins with 4 supersets of 10 reps of skull crushers and 10 reps of Barbell Curls. After each workout, they take an entire protein shake. They then continue with four sets, 15 reps each of Dumbbell Hammer Curls and Dumbbell overhead French press.
They mix up the third workout and go for 4 more sets of skull crushers and bicep curls, this time with an easy bar instead. By the time they reach their 3rd workout, they already feel sore in the biceps. However, as they gradually finished the entire routine, although it did not work for Brandon Walsh, James West had an inch and a half bigger biceps by the time he finished. Well, the routine is a success only if you abide by all the steps before, after, and during the workout.
The rules to pull out the 8-hour arm workout by Rich Piana
Rich Piana, once while talking about the arm workout said, “One of my deep dark secrets is basically an 8-hour arm workout and it’s made up of 16 mini-workouts every half hour throughout the day for 8 hours straight, killing your arms, and YES it is 8-hours long.” For this workout, the late bodybuilder advised to take two days off before attempting and getting a huge breakfast on the morning before.
