The 43-year-old compared the youngster’s training method with his traditional training. Lobliner highlighted that he used to lift heavy, do as many reps as possible, and spend a long time in the gym. On the other hand, these newbies in the gym are “doing too much science sh*t.” He then shed light on the fact that these kids try to do more and more unilateral exercises.
Lobliner gave an example of the hammer-strength incline press he did with full power and took it to failure. But the kids beside him did “squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak.” Continuing, he explained, “Look man, I understand when you are an advanced trainee; maybe you’re competing for the Olympia; even then, you don’t see Dereck Lunsford sitting doing weird stuff.”
