Patrick Schwarzenegger, the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, followed in his father’s footsteps to become an actor. Hence, films have played a massive role in the 29-year-old’s life. A glance through his X (Twitter) profile will show the many posts the actor shares about films. A few days ago, the Terminal List actor reposted the official announcement of the passing of Jimmy Buffett. “RIP, love Jimmy!” wrote Schwarzenegger in the caption of his post. Through his heartfelt tribute, the 29-year-old revealed his love for the classics, as Buffett had his heyday during the ’70s. However, just days after learning about the tragic passing of Buffett, Patrick Schwarzenegger learned some bad news about one of his favorite musicians.

Earlier, the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a post by Daily Loud. The post was about iconic 2000s rock band Smash Mouth’s frontman, Steve Harwell. “Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell reportedly on his death bed due to liver failure,” read the Daily Post post. An image of a 56-year-old singer accompanied the original post. Schwarzenegger seemed shocked to learn the news.
The 29-year-old reposted it with his own caption. “Da*n,” wrote the shocked actor. “Saying prayer. One of my favorite bands,” he added. Although Steve Harwell (vocals), Kevin Coleman (drums), Greg Camp (guitar), and Paul De Lisle (bass) formed the rock band in 1994, they found mainstream success at the tail end of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Songs like All-Star, I’m a Believer, Then the Morning Comes, and more became some of the biggest hits during the early 2000s. The band’s debut album, Fush Yu Mang, went double platinum. Their songs also feature in films like Shrek (2001) and Jungle Book 2 (2003). Hence, it’s no surprise Harwell and his band shaped the 29-year-old’s music taste when he was young. However, there seems to be absolutely no hope of recovery for the singer.
How critical is Steve Harwell’s condition?
The Smash Mouth frontman had been battling various health complications for years. After 2015, Harwell’s troubles with alcohol abuse began affecting his health. By 2017, Harwell was canceling concerts, and in 2021, he stepped down due to health issues. According to TMZ, the singer has reached the final stage of liver failure, and now it’s only a matter of time.
