Larry Wheels is one of those professional powerlifters, who approached the bodybuilding GOAT to learn about his experience in 800 lbs Squats and Deadlifts.

In a recent video uploaded by Ronnie Coleman’s official Instagram account, 8-time Mr. Olympia, Coleman, can be seen having a conversation with a powerlifting prodigy, Larry Wheels. The powerlifter, Wheels, has a history of lifting a weight twice his body weight and he became a highly recognized figure in powerlifting in 2017. Recently, he was seen with Coleman and asked how he could do both powerlifting and bodybuilding with matchless efficiency.

 

Expressing his personal experience of struggling with both of these sports if he chose either of them, he said, “Where I struggled trying to do both powerlifting bodybuilding is,  if I turn like a powerlifter, then I’m not going to get developed like a bodybuilder. Showing his regret for not developing muscles as bodybuilders do. On the other hand, he went on to say that if he turned like a bodybuilder, he was not going to get this trim like a powerlifter.

He approached Coleman to learn about his experience in 800 lbs Squats and Deadlifts. Wheels wanted to have a legend advice who is one of the stars of the golden era of bodybuilding. Responding to him, Coleman said, “

I just basically went by how I felt. If I felt strong, you judge yourself and want you to get to the gym, felt strong, then I was stronger.” The greatest of all-time bodybuilders stressed about feeling strong because this is the point when a person judges himself.

As Coleman lifted and squatted 800 pounds, many people considered that it was the outcome of his deteriorating health condition. However, he had something different to say. He might be the only bodybuilder who never holds his training and workout responsible health challenges he suffered.

Ronnie Coleman never blamed his workouts

Answering the people’s question, Coleman explained, I mean I didn’t hurt myself lifting or squatting 800 pounds. I didn’t hurt myself while I was training. It might be a combination of everything over the years but I don’t know for sure. Personally, I don’t think so,”

He lifted 800lbs a few weeks removed from Mr. Olympia putting all his energy into a lifetime goal. If workouts were responsible for his health issues. From a fan’s perspective, Ronnie got his disc injured by lifting heavy weights and doing hardcore exercises. He is known for training six days per week with high-volume pushups and pullups. To some extent, it seems true that Coleman suffered injuries because of his training choices. However, he doesn’t believe it completely or personally. What’s your take on his approach and advice?
