Even if we are in the 21st century, there are still a lot of stereotypes that are yet to be eradicated. One of them is that women might not look so good if they bulk up and train their upper body to have muscles. Too much muscle in a woman might make her look masculine. However, athletes around the world, whether they are gymnasts, swimmers, or bodybuilding icons, are changing this notion every day. One such fitness influencer is Kira Lindner, who is breaking stereotypes regarding muscle building and fitness.

Lindner is a women’s track and field athlete at the University of Pennsylvania and has a massive 226k following on Instagram. The 25-year-old recently uploaded a video where she broke the stereotype of muscles on women in one blow.

With bold music playing in the video, Lindner slides into the frame while wearing an oversized T-shirt and tights, along with pigtails on her hair. While posing in front of the camera, she looks like any other slim and fit model. The caption above her in the video was, “Ladies! Do not train upper body. U don’t want to get too bulky!”

It was purely sarcastic because, as soon as the transition happened, the followers were in for a surprise. With the transition of the music, Lindner transforms into a muscular beast in the next frame of the video, where she is wearing her gym clothes and showing off her chiseled, symmetrical muscles. She captioned the post, “The Bucees pump cover was a hit.” In the video, she breaks the idea that if women train the upper body, they get “too bulky.”

This is because she looks lean and chiseled in the video, with the perfect amount of muscle in the right areas even after training her upper body. She does not look out of proportion, and her upper body muscles are symmetrical. She has achieved an incredible physique through a lot of effort and exercise, but also because of her mother’s genetics, according to her.

Kira Lindner thanks her mother for her muscular physique

The New York State Discus Champion in 2019 was always an athletic individual. However, she was not confident about her body, but everything changed in 2022. She decided to change her way of thinking and dedicated time to training, exercise, and a proper diet. She promotes body positivity and advises against body shaming.

Apart from this, Lindner thanked her mother for her amazing genetics. She previously uploaded an Instagram video with her mother and thanked her. She wrote, “Your mom gave you the best-lifting genetics.” The reel shows Lindner with her mother as she asks her mom to show her muscles while flexing them. While her mother starts flexing her muscles, it becomes evident that Kira indeed gets her amazing genetics from her mother.
