Taking to Twitter, Patrick joined millions of fans to pray for iconic singer Jimmy Buffett’s peaceful rest. The prominent singer died at the age of 76. Hence, an overwhelming number of prayers and heartfelt notes poured in simultaneously.

The 29-year-old star reposted a recent update from Jimmy’s official handle that shared a heartfelt note for the late singer. Patrick was touched by the note and penned down a few expressive words to add to the sad occasion. “RIP, love Jimmy!” he wrote in the post’s caption.

The post by the singer’s handle revealed that he “peacefully” passed away on September 1, while being surrounded by his near and dear ones, music, and dogs. Additionally, it was noted that the ‘Margaretville’ singer lived his life like a song until his very last moment and will be missed by the world.

Buffett rose to prominence after his 1977 hit, Margaretville, sold over 20 million copies worldwide, per reports. He shifted the trajectory of the rock-and-roll and country music industries. Moreover, Jimmy marked his genre of music as Gulf and Western. On a contrasting note, Patrick recently shared his unfiltered opinion about politicians in the country, and it was not on the favorable side.

The Midnight Sun actor has shown keen interest in the health and well-being of the politicians running the country. From POTUS Biden to Sen. Mitch McConnell, Patrick finds a common point of concern among them. While expressing his appreciation for their work, he acknowledged the need for an age limit for politicians.

He wrote in the Twitter post, “We need an age cap. These people are no longer our best options for politics.” Besides that, Patrick suggested McConnell retire and focus on his health instead. This revelation came after the Republican leader froze mid-interview during a press conference.
