The fitness world often indulges in the use of several supplementary performance-enhancing drugs. With the advancement of modern medical technology, the market has witnessed a new formula that is allegedly helping athletes recover from injuries or deal with aging signs of better performance. Mike O’Hearn and the former bodybuilder, Rick Collins, discussed this chain of amino acids, popularly known as peptides.

Peptides can allegedly help any athlete get into shape without affecting their health much. However, recently, these drugs are being banned. In his latest YouTube video titled, “Steroids Were Banned Because They Were Effective, Not Because They Were Dangerous,” Mike O’Hearn and Rick Collins address the matter.

Why are peptides getting banned?

Collins outright dismissed that Congress has something to do with the banning of Peptides. Instead, he shed light on the FDA. According to Rick Collins, the FDA demands a lengthy and expensive process for any drug of such merits to get approved for sale in the market. He stated, “Let’s say, Michael O’Hearn wants to bring a drug to Market, and you want to go through the process of FDA approval which is necessary in order to you know advertise a drug on television… ultimately, hundreds of millions of dollars later you go to FDA with your new drug approval process. You get it approved and now you can get a patent on that drug and you can sell that drug.”

Then Rick Collins talked about some peptides that were circulated in the market without any approval from the FDA. As the end result, these do not make the cut as they weren’t going through a process of several phases of trials. In one of his earlier interviews, Mike O’Hearn was once troubled with an intrusive question regarding drug usage. The Titan, however, managed to evade the question smoothly.

Mike O’Hearn swiftly replies to a drug question

In one of his interviews with Kenykoo, O’Hearn declared how he had been training for over 45 years. In reply, he had to struggle with the question of how the drug dosage worked out for him. Instead of getting upset, the bodybuilder calmly replied. and pointed out that his blood reports and tests were pretty regular. Then O’Hearn stated, “So you’re saying I’ve just been really smart. I love it…He just said I’m really smart and I know how to get past the drug test”.
