Sticking to a specific diet to achieve desired fitness goals might be a hard nut to crack for those who are unable to maintain control over their nutrient intakes. Diet plans, therefore, are often hampered when one lacks the knowledge of how the cravings of the human body work while being on a diet.

Focusing on the same aspect, John Jewett, an accomplished bodybuilder, and coach who often educates his followers about the right path to pursue fitness, highlighted the importance of protein intake in regulating one’s cravings during a diet.

In a recent post uploaded by the J3 University Instagram channel, Jewett brought out some fascinating facts. Jewett said that if someone was hungry to the point that they weren’t able to follow their diet plan, then they could consider scaling up the protein to satisfy their satiety. “Pushing protein high is a great strategy.” he wrote in the caption.

Revealing further, he said that one can consider being on a low-carbohydrate diet while simultaneously increasing the consumption of protein. In this way, the body will get proper nutrition and calories to function and a person can also adhere to their diet plan as well.

Earlier, the Jewett had guided fitness enthusiasts about a healthy diet during the off-season. When bodybuilders aren’t competing and enjoying their break, he still recommends that they should always have a balanced diet. He recently talked about what food can be eaten during the off-season.
