The sport of bodybuilding is subjective, as it works differently for everyone. Despite being on the same diet and training regimen, no two bodybuilders will develop a similar physique. Hence, a bodybuilding career provides time to improve upon past mistakes and learn from experiences. However, the bodybuilding coach, John Jewett, is inclined to use a combination of science and experience to obtain the best results. 

He defined Evidence-based bodybuilding as “You are not just basing information and knowledge off science, and you are not just basing information off coaching people and/or experience. It is a complete combination of the two,” in his post.

Citing its benefits, the coach underscores how the combination of the two will result in optimal results and offers help to rookie bodybuilders who are finding it difficult to tread the path. The combination of science and experience may result in the compilation of evidence-based studies. Even the 7x Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger is using evidence-based studies to share his fitness mantra.

While science proves that donuts and Diet Coke can increase calorie intake, Schwarzenegger put forth evidence-based studies on how they can help with weight loss when taken in moderation. Sharing the research conducted on two groups, Arnie explained how a high-calorie breakfast helps in weight loss by curbing cravings.

Arnie has suggested studies informing how weight training is good for skin health in his newsletter. Given the authenticity of such studies, it would be easy for the masses to expect the desired results.
