As the Mr. Olympia competition draws near, each athlete is shifting gears and training hard to attain their best physique. On his off-season break, current Mr. Olympia champion Derek Lunsford is also training for the show. Previously, he showcased his immense gains for his new show.

This time he posted a short video on his Instagram account, giving a sneak peek into his work of art to his fans. Witnessing his massive gains, his fans went into a frenzy, complimenting his gigantic back.

In the video, the current Mr. Olympia champion was walking, and the shot was taken from an angle, capturing his massive, monstrous back. His back was filled with pure muscles, and his small waist complimented his overall physique. Lunsford’s round shoulder and colossal traps made his back look much more massive than anyone else in the game. This was not all there was to it; there’s one more part that stole the show.

The main attraction of this video was his immense, wide lats. The current Mr. Olympia’s lats were looking like his wins, and he could have flown any moment. The conditioning and muscle density of Lunsford’s back were to the point. In perfect lighting conditions, you could see the minute details of the current Mr. Olympia’s back. He was looking like some kind of superhero with such an enormous back. 

The former Mr. Olympia 212 is currently training for his next show, the Pittsburgh Pro Show 2024. He previously shared a video of him flexing with his mentor, Hany Rambod, aka the Pro Creator. He will be there as a guest, posing with other prominent figures in the bodybuilding realm. Fans are buzzing over Lunsford’s massive lats and have filled the comment section with praise.

The IFBB Pro bodybuilder wants a new category for Lunsford’s lats

A fan commented on the former Mr. Olympia’s wide and gigantic lats and called them “Lunsford Airlines.” An admirer of the current Mr. Olympia made a hilarious remark on his lats and wrote, “Okay Derek try not to fly away now lol, lats for dayyyyyyyzzzzz” Another enthusiast commented on Lunsford’s gigantic back being responsible for the eclipse that happened a few days ago and wrote, “What in the heck is that???? Now I understand the eclipse.”

A fitness freak commented on the former Mr. Olympia 212 being insane for having such a gigantic back and wrote, “Insanity has just taken on a new meaning.” One more fan made a comparison between Lunsford’s back and plane and wrote, “American Airlines is calling.” The IFBB Pro bodybuilder Michael Daboul also commented on the post and wrote, “Those lats need a category on their own.”
