Patrick Schwarzenegger, the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a pleasant surprise to fans when he announced he would be part of Gen V. The Amazon Prime show was announced as the first live-action spin-off of the massively popular The Boys. While the animated spin-off of the show had already aired, fans were excited to see the live expansion of The Boys universe.
Patrick Schwarzenegger also put in work at the gym for the role. The 30-year-old put on some muscle and featured prominently in the trailer. In fact, the trailer hinted at him having similar superpowers to the antagonist of The Boys. Interestingly, the Midnight Sun actor had originally auditioned for that role in 2019. Hence, people were excited to see Schwarzenegger in the graphically violent show that shocked Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, much to everybody’s dismay and despite the show hyping him up as Homelander’s equal, young Schwarzenegger’s Golden Boy’s violent death at the end of episode 1 turned out to be quite anti-climactic.
