We often tend to think that children of famous people possess privileges the average person doesn’t. While it might be true, the kids of stars often have the pressure of living up to expectations. However, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver raised their kids without letting them feel that pressure. Instead, they taught their children important life lessons. Schwarzenegger also didn’t force his children to pursue bodybuilding, acting, or politics.
In one of his rare but recent podcast appearances, eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman agreed with Schwarzenegger. During his time at The Iced Coffee Hour podcast, the host asked an interesting question.?“If you had a son was the goal for your son to kind of like get into bodybuilding as well and like carry your name?”?However, Coleman had a different goal.

The eight-time Mr. Olympia didn’t hesitate to answer the host’s question. The bodybuilding icon said he wouldn’t force his son to follow a set goal.?”The goal was to grow up and be whoever he wants to be,”?the 59-year-old said about his plans if he had a son. Coleman then said he would want his son to carve his path like Coleman did.
Coleman wouldn’t force his son to pursue bodybuilding despite being an eight champion. Giving his example the former champion said he planned to become a pro footballer. However,?“it wasn’t meant to be.”?Instead, the King found his passion in a different sport. Hence, no one can decide on behalf of another person, even their children.
“Like I said you know, really not up to you,”?clarified Ronnie Coleman. The other host said how Arnold Schwarzenegger did the same thing. Despite being the arguable G.O.A.T. of bodybuilding, Arnie didn’t tell his three sons to choose either of the three professions he chose.?
Arnold Schwarzenegger didn’t have to force his bodybuilder son
The Austrian Oak didn’t tell his eldest and youngest sons to follow in his footsteps and become actors. Neither did he tell his youngest, Joseph Banea, that he had to take up bodybuilding. Instead, once Baena started his fitness journey to get in shape, Arnie inspired him. The 25-year-old started the gym to lose weight and became interested in bodybuilding
So, his five-time Mr. Universe winner father gifted him his most renowned book. After reading Schwarzenegger’s?The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding, Joseph Baena decided to pursue the sort his father excelled at as a hobby.
