Many individuals use their hectic lifestyles as an excuse to skip their fitness routines. However, Hollywood actress Mindy Kaling has set her priorities straight. The Office star has recently revealed that she found a clever way to save time and get into fitness mode quickly.  

Kaling has been making headlines with her exceptional transformation and intense fitness regime. However, the popular actress revealed that she had to overcome a lot of hindrances to achieve that.

With the added responsibilities of being a mother to two children and maintaining a successful career, Kaling understands the challenges of balancing multiple roles. “It’s really a big commitment,”. she said in an interview. She revealed her secret to maintaining this balance is to save time in changing attires.  While juggling multiple responsibilities, the popular actress revealed that she prefers to stay in workout clothes all the time. 

Living in workout clothes has become a strategic choice for Kaling, enabling her to save time and seamlessly transition into exercise whenever she finds a spare moment.  “It’s hard with two kids that I wake up really early and I fit it in — and I basically live in workout clothes so I can get it in, get an extra mile in.”

This decision not only eliminates the hassle of changing outfits but also serves as a constant reminder of her fitness goals as she can push for burning extra calories in the saved time. “I just tell myself I have to do basically 20 miles a week of either hiking or running. And so that’s been incredibly helpful to me.”, she told The People. However, the popular actress doesn’t allow people’s opinions to define the meaning of fitness for her. 

Kaling’s meaning of being healthy

The 43-year-old actress revealed that she has been working on her fitness for more than 2 decades and with time the notion of being healthy has evolved for her. Kaling said that she doesn’t confine her fitness goals to just reducing body fat but has much deeper meanings. “And for me, healthy is working out, moving my body a lot, keeping hydrated, and then not having negative connotations around working out and making me feel like if I don’t do this, then I won’t be something else.”, she added. 

However, the Office star also added that this wasn’t her approach from the very beginning and it took a long time to understand it.
