Bench pressing is a crucial exercise for any?bodybuilding?legend, and they make the heavyweight bench press look like a breeze. But doing the same for any other person is going to be like picking up Thor?s hammer. So, bodybuilding and fitness social media icon Stan Browney decided to challenge beachgoers one fine day by putting a bench on the beach. The challenge made most people cave in because of the weight.

Browney was also aware of the safety precautions and took help from his bodybuilding friends and champions. Matt Does Fitness, Vladislava Galagan, Mike Thurston, and Dejan Stipke Stipi? were spotters for the candidates. Everyone was losing the game after a point; however, the competition was still getting more exciting because what happened next was unexpected.

The YouTube short video showed people brimming with excitement and anticipation, and Browney?s voiceover started narrating the challenge. Vast crowds of beachgoers were gathered around the bench press, watching the candidates fight for $100. Stan narrated,?“I put a bench on the beach, and whoever does the most reps wins a $100. The weight on the bar is 130 lbs, and the first guy who went for it motivated by the crowd, and spotters that were Matt, Mike, Valda, Dejan, and me (Stan Browney) got 29 reps.”

Lifting 130 pounds is not as easy as it sounds, and many fitness enthusiasts tried their best but could not go past 45 reps. But then came a young bodybuilder:?”When this 20-year-old mountain showed up named Sven making the first 30 reps look like a warm-up,”?He did not stop there and successfully did 56 reps, which was impressive for the crowd.

Then came the man of the hour, a muscular hulk who looked very similar to Dave Bautista, according to Browney, and made Dave look like a freshman in college. The man named Bastjan did not utter a single word and started bench-pressing casually. His speed was impeccable, and the bodybuilder did not seem to stop any time soon. When others had to fight for their lives at 40 reps, Bastjan completed 64 reps, breaking Sven?s and everyone else?s record to take the $100 for himself.

Stan Browney beats a previous record holder?s streak

Stan found the best record time for the challenge by a man named?’The Proof’,?who finished it in 4:37. The two simple exercises on the challenge were pushups and pullups, but the time made all the difference. Almost no one could finish 50 pullups and 100 pushups in 5 minutes.

Stan knows calisthenics and is a fitness buff, so he expected it to be easy for him, but he failed on his first attempt. He completed the challenge at 5:20. Finally, after two days of training, Stan met the challenge in under five minutes, but he was not satisfied.
