Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t the only one writing for his newsletter. Editor-in-Chief Adam Bornstein and Daniel Ketchell also write the Arnie daily fitness newsletter. Earlier, Bornstein explained how Arnold Schwarzenegger attempts to teach people to envision their goals and give them the tools to turn those goals into reality. Countless people across the globe also envision a goal every January.

However, most people who commit to a New Year resolution fail to follow the routine they determine for themselves. Although Arnold Schwarzenegger has told people that the key to success is to envision fewer and more realistic goals, many falter at the final step, which is seeing how they might fail. Hence, in the latest edition of the newsletter, Bornstein quoted boxing legend Mike Tyson to help people make a difference this year.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s plan for failures

Bornstein explained that setting goals at the start of the year is an “optimistic” endeavor. He also claimed that Arnold Schwarzenegger and the team are “all about positivity.” However, if someone wants to succeed, they must also be prepared to fail. Bornstein wrote that according to the stats, 90% of the people who set New Year’s resolutions fail to achieve their goals by the end of the year.

Founding Father Benjamin Franklin said, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” However, even the best laid-out plans can go awry when some slip up or lose motivation. Hence, Bornstein chose to reference boxing great Mike Tyson’s hard-hitting quote: “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.”

Adam Bornstein told readers to prepare for what might derail their immaculate plans toward their goal. “I encourage you to anticipate when and where life will hit the hardest. And then make sure your plan helps you protect against those moments,” wrote the Arnold’s Pump Club Editor-in-Chief.

As always, Arnold’s Pump Club had the readers covered. After explaining the issue, Bornstein also wrote about a simple method people can use to put what they learned into practice. Arnie’s team member explained that while setting a goal they should plan 3, 6, or 12 months.

Bornstein told the readers to ask themselves what might go wrong with their plan within that period. So, if something derails them, they would know how to get back on track. It’s important to follow Schwarzenegger’s advice of facing a vision. However, it’s also necessary to know that things may not pan out perfectly.
