First Mr. Olympia 2022 and then Arnold Classic 2023, the top two bodybuilding events of the year haven’t been as per the expectations for Nick ‘the mutant’ Walker. However, despite missing the trophies on both occasions by a little margin, his devotion towards the sport hasn’t been affected and the 250 lb beast is still training with the same vigor and determination.

Recently, the IFBB Pro appeared in an interview to talk about what awaits him next. Furthermore, he disclosed an interesting approach to his leg workouts, to avoid the unbearable pain he was facing while doing them lately.

In a recent video posted on YouTube, Walker went candid while detailing his workouts. The bodybuilder shared he prefers to start his chest day by performing chest flies to get a pump before moving to chest press. Likewise, he does the same with legs, “If I start with the leg press when I go to a squat type movement my legs automatically connect better than anything…They’re fired up. I go to a squat now. The pump is so big it hurts and it’s just unbearable at that point and then even after that to finish off with leg extensions I’m toasted.”

Significantly, Walker is among those who carved their niche in the sport in their maiden years. In 2021, he took home the New York Pro and Arnold Classic trophies. And of course, he will make anything possible to win his first-ever Mr. Olympia trophy this year, and this changing regime is the beginning to it.
