In a recent Instagram post, the fitness influencer, Sean Nalewanyj posted a video of him sharing his opinion about quality sleep. Talking about his past regrets, the coach said, “That was probably the single dumbest thing I ever did to try to build muscle as far as diet is concerned. I’d set my alarm for 03:30 a.m.”
Continuing further, he said that every night he would force me to go out of bed midway through sleep to walk down to the kitchen. In the kitchen, he used to blend a protein shake, drink it, and then go back to bed. He soon realized that “Forcefeeding protein isn’t even going to help you build muscle faster in the first place.”
According to him, high-quality sleep is a much bigger factor for maximizing recovery and performance than most people realize. Advising people later, he said that everyone’s out here looking for the next special diet hack or unique training strategy when in reality the most impactful thing they could probably do to build muscle and lose fat more effectively would be to just die in their sleep quality each night.
