Michael Israetel recommends hypertrophy for the general population

In an interview with Matteo Marra, Michael Israetel brought up hypertrophy training and said, “Is probably the best entry point into resistance training for Gen Pop Folks.” Then he continued to talk about how anyone who wants to be strong and healthy should try this out to look good both with and without a shirt.

Israetel also claimed that this exercise was not strictly for bodybuilders to follow. He stated, “It is not bodybuilding training. Cause bodybuilding is to get a speedo on and go up on stage and flex your muscles.” Instead, he argued that this training process was for both regular people as well as powerlifters and bodybuilders.

Michael Israetel often rates bodybuilders as well. In what might come as a surprise as many, despite agreeing with Chris Bumstead’s supremacy, Israetel took on the task of rating the five-time Mr. Olympia winner as well.

Michael Israetel gives CBum an 8.5 rating

In one of his videos, Israetel said how difficult it was to rate anyone who has been able to achieve Mr. Olympia’s title. However, the expert goes on to state, “I’m not grading his physique which to me is a 12 out of 10, it’s revolutionary. It’s, um, changing the structure of our sport literally.” Then he added to his statement, “This training I would give an 8.5 out of 10.”
