At the beginning of the YouTube video, Rambod asked his fans, “Do you want to supplement your entire day’s protein with protein shakes?” The Pro Creator answered the question himself and said, “Do not do that.” Continuing further, the bodybuilding coach shared the reason behind this.

The Pro Creator explained that your body has a natural tendency to digest the real food you eat. But “supplements are made to supplement your diet.” The man behind Chris Bumstead and Hadi Choopan also shared the right time to have whey protein in your diet. Many think that this might be before engaging in your workout, but Rambod thinks differently.

Rambod shared that you need to add your whey isolate protein to your diet after you’re done with your workout. The bodybuilding coach mentioned this as a “great time” to have your whey protein during your anabolic window. “You could throw that in post-workout,” he added. While Hany Rambod advises the intake of isolated whey protein, bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger had earlier built upon the benefits of isolated protein over concentrated whey protein.

Arnie gives a clear picture of the Isolated vs. concentrated whey protein debate

There are two types of proteins: isolated and concentrated, but if you’re using concentrated, you might be in the wrong. “If you use a whey protein concentrate, you might be getting much less protein than you think,” the seven-time Mr. Olympia wrote in his newsletter. The bodybuilding icon explained that concentrated whey protein used to be a top-tier supplement.

However, the product companies used many “loopholes” that allowed them to deliver a very low-grade supplement to consumers. The Austrian Oak further highlighted that the companies hide the exact amount of protein in their concentrated proteins. In contrast, Whey protein isolates offer more protein content by weight than concentrate, while having lower carbs, fats, and lactose. They also digest better after than concentrate, Arnie explained.
