The 43-year-old IFBB Pro Marc Lobliner has always supported the use of creatine. Recently Lobliner shared a video on his YouTube channel delving into a research-based study that talks about the positives of creatine intake.

According to Lobliner, the research was done on both the young and elderly populations. The results were surprising, and Lobliner highlighted the same. “We found that it not only does it 100% increase physical performance, but it also prevents neurodegenerative diseases like dementia and Alzheimer’s. It also helps to recover from a condition called sarcopenia, which causes a gradual loss of muscle mass and strength. He further said there is no downside to using creatine.

Lobliner also talked about creatine’s effects on health and said there are no side effects on your body. Creatine, unlike other supplements, doesn’t affect your blood pressure and even has no side effects on your kidneys. Therefore, everything that will happen to youngsters after taking creatine will be “beneficial,” Lobliner said. “Creatine is just a combo of three amino acids,” Lobliner added while explaining how creatine is found naturally and is the most studied and safest supplement of all.

The IFBB Pro also emphasized how creatine, being a plant-based product, was safe to consume for vegans as well. In fact, Lobliner argued that vegans needed more creatine owing to the fact that they were missing out on natural sources like beef. “I can make an argument for creatine being beneficial to everyone, and there is plenty of data to back it up,” Lobliner emphasized.

Lobliner encouraged people to take creatine, calling it awesome. He says if you don’t believe him, you can go to your doctor or read the research done by the “National Library of Medicine.” The IFBB Pro, on the other hand, had earlier given his insights into intuitive eating and its effectiveness, suggesting an alternative method instead.

Intuitive eating is a trendy dieting approach that prompts eating when you feel physically hungry. Regardless of its effectiveness, the IFBB Pro questioned the concept of intuitive eating, sharing his new method to gain and lose fat, and called it protein leveraging. He stressed that you can gain and lose weight just by making protein the cornerstone of every meal and tracking the macros with it.

You eat a lot of chicken or beef or fish or whatever, and you load up on protein because protein has more of an anorectic effect.” Lobliner highlighted the anorectic effect of protein, meaning it suppresses your appetite. Lastly, he talked about amino acids having an acute insulin spike when compared to carbohydrates that have a biphasic insulin spike, which leads to hunger issues and cravings.
