The bodybuilding icon did a recent YouTube video talking about the precautions one should take before going for a challenging lift. Justyn Vicky collapsed after squatting with 450 pounds of weight on his shoulders. Looking into the videos that surfaced on the internet, Doucette explains the dangers and precautions one should take before such a difficult lift.

He is devastated by the news but still holds the notion that this tragic accident occurred due to ego lifting. Greg mentioned,?“With 205 kgs-450 pounds, it was simply too much for him on this day. Unless you are training for powerlifting, I see no reason to go for a one-rep max. It is far more likely to lead to injury.”

Doucette also added,?“Justyn Vicky had recognized just how dangerous the squat was.”?Greg pointed out that an Instagram account, @Gym.legends, allegedly said that Vicky knew how dangerous the exercise was and said so in a video on July 5th. According to Greg,?“Squatting within the racks would most certainly have prevented this tragic accident.”
