Arnold Schwarzenegger’s newsletter,?Arnold’s Pump Club,?is more than a regular newsletter that provides readers with fitness advice. While?Arnold Schwarzenegger?aims to guide people onto a path to fitness, he also understands the importance of mental health and overall wellness. Hence, the?bodybuilding?icon often highlights habits and tendencies that affect mental and physical health. In the recent edition of his newsletter, the seven-time Mr. Olympia tackled a?”different kind of negativity.”

Earlier, one of Arnie’s newsletter subscribers took to Twitter and wrote about how significant the advice was. A Twitter user, Jay Ashman, revealed he went through a frustrating week and felt angry. However, reading the segment about negativity helped him make the right choice.

Arnold Schwarzenegger tackles a widespread problem on the internet
In his newsletter, the bodybuilding icon spoke about something so common that most people have accepted it as normal. The Austrian Oak wrote that many of his friends send him videos of NFL players making massive lifts.?“One was deadlifting 700 pounds, and the other was jumping with over 300 pounds. I loved it,”?wrote the bodybuilding legend.

Schwarzenegger revealed that seeing other people succeed in the gym makes him happy. However, he also noticed how countless comments on such videos are negative. From ridiculing the athletes to claiming themselves superior, Arnie realized there was a universal trend of negativity present in the comments section of such videos.

However, the bodybuilding legend told his readers not to indulge in this different kind of negativity. Jay Ashman, who read the segment, felt grateful.?“This passage from @Schwarzenegger is important. Last week was a very hard week overall, and the impulse to burn the world down is hard to resist,”?wrote the Arnold’s Pump Club subscriber.?

Ashman said he struggles with negativity like others, but Schwarzenegger’s reminder was an?“important”?one. Schwarzenegger retweeted his post.?“Thank you for sharing,”?wrote the seven-time Mr. Olympia.?“I want people to realize that even though their negative comments might get more likes, it is poison that sucks all the joy out of life,” Schwarzenegger wrote in his newsletter. The impact of trying to minimize the accomplishment of others
In his newsletter, Schwarzenegger also wrote that how leaving a negative comment on such videos gives a false sense of superiority. Schwarzenegger highlighted comments like?“It doesn?t count on a trap bar”?and?“I am smaller, and I could do more.”?While it’s easy to write such things for likes, it turns into a habit that feeds negativity.

“You?re not minimizing them; you?re minimizing yourself,”?warned Schwarzenegger. He wrote that even if someone who makes such comments lifts more than the people they ridicule, it should be?“fun”?watching another person succeed. During his bodybuilding days, Schwarzenegger and his training partners constantly tried to outdo one another but also relished when one achieved something extraordinary. That’s how they became champions.
