Chris Hemsworth played Kim Hyde in the soap opera, Home and Away, stealing the hearts of the youngsters with his charm. While portraying the role of Thor, Hemsworth bulked up and maintained a shredded physique. A clip from the video compilation had Hemsworth saying, “I’m currently tipping the scales at more than 230 lbs, and it’s a full-time job just to maintain it.” However, for Extraction II, the actor had to sport an athletic physique to give a realistic touch to the character of Tyler Rake.
“I’d come off the most recent Thor films where I was just training and eating and training and eating. I was big. But in this film, the focus was to strip that down, be a lot leaner, a lot more agile,” the action hero said in the video. So, there was an entire shift in the Australian actor’s diet and workout routine to get leaner.
According to the video, Hemsworth reduced calorie intake, focused on cardio, and tweaked weight-training workouts. Eventually, he got much leaner than in his Thor films and aced his fight and stunt scenes. However, fans contemplate other reasons for the transformation.
