Bodybuilder turned Hollywood megastar Arnold Schwarzenegger can be a real deal sometimes. He is hardly willing to compromise anything he sets his mind to, and more importantly, he hates losing! A perfect example of his dedication to almost anything he does is his birthday celebration during the shoot of his Netflix show, FUBAR.

Speaking in an interview with Extra TV, his co-star Monica Barbaro revealed how Arnie ignored the cast’s special effort on his birthday. The star was engrossed in a game of chess and was not willing to lose at any cost.

As per the YouTube interview a couple of months ago, the 76-year-old actor and Monica candidly chatted about all things FUBAR and more ahead of the show’s release. Eventually, the American actress recalled a hilarious incident that once took place on Arnie’s birthday. She claimed that the whole crew had set up to surprise the actor with desserts and cigars while singing happy birthday to him.

However, when they actually entered his room, Arnie was busy with a game of chess, and he simply glanced at them for a second and continued playing. This left the actress and the others clueless. “Wouldn’t come out until he was done,” the 33-year-old star said. Interestingly, Arnie spoke in defense of his reaction.

Justifying his act, the bodybuilding legend explained, “I was in the middle of a game, almost losing the game, so I had to stay focused. I had to visualize myself as a winner, but I said, please, can you leave right now I’m about to lose.” This hilarious instance ended up being a treasured memory for the FUBAR cast. While the actor is an unbeatable chess player for his son-in-law, Chris Pratt, Arnie once revealed someone special who’s better at it than him.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s adorable chess partner

While the former bodybuilder’s first-ever TV feature was trending, he made several guest appearances, chatting about his experience making the show and his life in general. Reacting to some of his previous posts, Arnie was amused after he saw a resurfaced picture of him playing chess with his pet donkey, Lulu, on the other side of the board.

“I have to say that Lulu is not only a pet to have a lot of fun with, but, she is also a great chess partner. It’s kind of like she just does things like kind of not paying much attention, and then I realize all of a sudden that I lose the game,” the Austrian Oak revealed while explaining the picture.
