The 81-year-old retired bodybuilding legend, Frank Zane, is the epitome of an aesthetic physique. Moreover, he has always promoted the necessity of having a balanced body and thus tried his best to spread words of advice on the matter.

Include doorway stretch in chest exercise routine, says Zane

In a video posted by @EscapeFitness a few months ago, the three-times Mr. Olympia, Frank Zane, is featured. Frank declared in the video that if one is working on their chest, then they surely should start including the doorway stretch in the training routine. According to Zane, stretching helps improve the prominence of blood within the muscles. He says, “It sort of gives it a completion, and it keeps blood in the muscle too, which is the main thing.”

Further, he explains meticulously that one needs to find a good door frame and then should “lean out” and stretch accordingly. Zane remarks as he himself shows the right way of mastering the doorway-stretching, “that’s perfectly called the pillars of Hercules”.

As the video progresses, Zane talks about the importance of having a selective fitness regime. He emphasizes that this can eventually award the bodybuilders with unthinkable results.

In the video, The God of Aesthetics confesses to having had several routines for different parts of his body. All these tiny efforts then ultimately have added to the construction of a magnificent whole. He pronounces, “I have different stretches for different body parts about 10 of them.” Zane then continues to add, “I didn’t do any kind of forced reps. Usually, I sometimes would do a drop set where I’d go to a lighter weight.”
