Aging can be a hard pill to swallow for many, especially when you have been one of the strongest and biggest individuals during your prime years as a bodybuilder. 7X Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger recently turned 76 years old. While he is trying his best to work out daily and maintain an active lifestyle, moving through the years is a bit hard on him.

As Schwarzenegger is losing the people he started his professional journey with initially, the hard truth of life and the progression in his age are making him a bit more sensitive and open about his feelings towards people. His old friend and co-star from ‘True Lies,’ a film that made $378.9 million at the box office, recently opened up about the evolving nature of Arnold Schwarzenegger over the years.

During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, among many other topics, Tom Arnold talked in detail about his old friend Arnold Schwarzenegger. Over the years, Schwarzenegger has witnessed the passing of many of his loved ones. In 2019, when his training partner from back in the day, Franco Columbu, died, it shook ‘The Austrian Oak’ to his core. Realizing the cycle of life, his nature has changed, according to Tom. He revealed that Schwarzenegger has good relations with all of his kids, as well as his ex-wife, Maria Shriver.

Continuing further, Tom stated, “I think he’s sentimental more.” Tom Arnold added that “a lot of people he started with are no longer here. And he’s not afraid to say, ‘I love that guy. He was my best friend. I wouldn’t be where I am without that guy.’”

Even though Schwarzenegger has faced his share of health issues, he has managed to maintain his health over the years. Revealing a secret behind his anti-aging, Schwarzenegger once revealed a mind-boggling study in his daily newsletter.

Proving his point as to how big of a change physical activities can bring, Arnold revealed in a previous edition of his newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club, that during research, a group of people were asked to lie in bed for three weeks. Eliminating almost all physical activities, the results of the study were alarming.

Schwarzenegger wrote in his newsletter, “The subjects experienced the equivalent of two decades of aging in their blood pressure, resting heart rate, and cardiac output.” The volunteers got 20 years older in three weeks in terms of their biology, as per their results. However, afterward, when they were asked to exercise regularly for two months, he stated that it “reversed all of the damage of the bed rest.”
