Former Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler recently spoke about not being able to spend this year’s Thanksgiving with his family.
Cutler is 50 years old and has returned already. Even still, his tight schedule portrays how bodybuilders are required to spend their designated time on their work despite not competing for a show. In the process of such realization, Cutler talked about how it affected his family life.

In one of the latest YouTube videos uploaded on Jay Cutler TV, Cutler was reported to take a walk in the neighborhood. As the conversation proceeded, the bodybuilder pronounced how he thought Thanksgiving would be on the 26th. Then he contemplated how he would not have the opportunity to be with his family for the occasion. He stated, “Our family’s kind of scattered now. Yeah, it’s just you know, ’cause it’s like the spouses and everyone else, it’s like the families all get in different places, you know. Yeah, it’s hard to get everyone in one space.”
Moreover, Cutler also reflected on the reason for changes in his personal life. He pointed out that as people grow they do not have as much time to hang out with people as they would want to. Thus, Cutler said, “It’s really hard to hang out because of your time restraints and different schedule.”

He stated, ?Derek Lunsford won his first, and he was second last year, a lot had first-place votes. Hadi wasn?t too happy about the decision. I wouldn?t be either, you know, he was very very close. It was neck and neck.? Understanding Choopan’s point of view in retrospect to the whole incident, Cutler can put himself in his shoes and see how he would have reacted in a similar way.

Bodybuilding requires a lifelong commitment from its participants. Bodybuilders need to change their whole lifestyle to tend to their physique and sculpt it. Hence, the family and social life can get hampered at times. Yet the dedication shown by such a bodybuilder is commendable. Jay Cutler missing Thanksgiving with his family is one such example.
