I don?t like attention. I don?t like people looking at me.? Since Yates disliked people looking at him, he also did not like giving speeches on stage and said, ?I don?t like being on stage giving speeches. I don?t even like being on stage. I had to do that to show what I had done in the gym.”
Yates also further elaborated that most people who come into bodybuilding are extroverts. They have the mentality which goes, ?Hey look at me!? but ?The Shadow? is an introvert. Yates also gave a profound idea that, in bodybuilding, there is no team. If someone loses, it’s on them and if they win, that is also on their determination. Dorian Yates found his passion for bodybuilding when he went to prison for 6 months. After coming into the sport, he was helped by Mike Mentzer and found the HIT method of training.
